Festival Foods Fireworks is Appleton, Wisconsin’s Independence Day celebration. The celebration offers many events and music to entertain the whole family before our world-class fireworks performance. Proceeds go to support the Appleton Area Jaycees’ Christmas shopping event for underprivileged children in the area. For more information see the Event Schedule and Frequently Asked Questions below.
No carry-ins or tarps allowed!
Many volunteers are needed for this event. If interested in helping contact the Appleton Area Jaycees at appletonjaycees.org or (920) 358-0474. We have several openings for volunteers from 3:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

2019 Fireworks Frequently Asked Questions
When and where is the Fireworks Event?
Our fireworks event is held annually on July 3rd in Memorial Park in Appleton.
Is there a fee to enter the park?
No! Admission is free. The only costs are food/drink, parking, and 50/50 raffle.
Is there a parking fee?
We will be charging a $10 parking fee in two lots. There will be free street parking as well as other parking lot options.
Will there be handicap parking available?
The existing handicap parking will be used.
Who do I contact if I want to volunteer?

Boogie & the Yo-Yo’z to play an encore set after fireworks display!
What time do the bands play?
Opening Act (Twisted Chords) plays from 4:30PM – 7:00PM
Headliner (Boogie & the Yo-Yo’z) plays from 7:30PM – Dusk (approximately 9:15PM) & after the fireworks display – 11:00PM
What time is the fireworks show?
The fireworks begin at dusk (approximately 9:15PM).
Can I put a blanket or chairs down prior to the start of the event?
Yes, picnic blankets, and lawn chairs are permitted. However, if they are in the way during set-up they will be moved. Tarps are not allowed and will be removed. The Appleton Area Jaycees & City of Appleton are not responsible for lost or stolen items or if the items are moved by a non-volunteer.
Can I bring my pet?
Sorry, no pets are allowed.
Will there be an ATM?
Yes, this year we will have an ATM on the west side of the lower tent!
What is the Children’s Area?
The Children’s Play Area is the area to the north of the hill and next to the Universal Playground. This area includes inflatable bounce houses, face painting, and balloon animals! It is open from 4:00 – 8:00pm.
Where do the proceeds from this event go?
Proceeds go back to Appleton and the surrounding area through donations to non-profits, sponsorships of groups and events, and other activities held by the Appleton Area Jaycees. A large percentage of the proceeds fund the annual Christmas Shopping Event where the Jaycees provide gifts to local underprivileged families.
Will there be any additional fundraising efforts?
We will be selling 50/50 raffle tickets at the entrances. The winner will be announced before the fireworks show.
Can I bring a cooler?
No carry-ins are allowed for this event. You will be asked to return any coolers or other carry-ins to your vehicle.
Are there concessions?
Yes, there are concessions at two tents during the event as well as several other food vendors. Beer can be purchased at either of the two tents. A wristband is required for alcohol purchase. Wristbands are free.

Will the event be canceled for bad weather?
The event will be held rain or shine unless unsafe weather conditions exist.
What do I do if I’ve lost an item?
Lost and found items are at the lower tent next to the stage. If after the event, contact the Appleton Area Jaycees at firstname.lastname@example.org or (920) 358-0474. The Appleton Area Jaycees & City of Appleton are not responsible for lost or stolen items.
